Greetings!
We are excited to introduce our latest outreach program at Fabric Renewal called Project Prom Miss 2009. Starting this month, we will be collecting, cleaning and distributing gently used dresses, gowns and bridesmaids' dresses for girls in need in our community.
We recently became aware of a situation where underprivileged high school girls were unable to attend their prom because they simply could not afford a suitable dress for the special occasion. Apparently, this situation is not that uncommon and we feel we are in a unique position to help.
Here are three great ways to get involved:
- SPREAD THE WORD: Tell friends, family and co-workers,
- DONATE A DRESS: Check your closet for gently used prom dresses, bridesmaids' or evening gowns. Bring your donations to work or call us for a pickup (note: some offices may not permit on-site collection locations),
- BE THE SOLUTION: Help us set up and promote a temporary collection location at your office or place of worship.
We would like to have all dresses collected by April 30th so we can have them ready for this prom season. Call or email us for more information or to arrange a pickup. We will take care of the rest. |
