Worth repeating...

A message from

Kathy Skura

Volunteer CoordinatorKathy Y SKura at Openning

Greetings from Blue Door Gallery and

Blue Door Artists Association

Hope the holiday season finds all members and friends well. We continue to act as a gallery and performance space where serious artists can exhibit their work. In addition we provide many community outreach programs as well as jazz and poetry performances and writing workshops.

In order to give members more opportunities to exhibit their work, Blue Door has inaugurated a program to exhibit artwork in public spaces.  GG Kopilak has coordinated this program. To date Leslie Miller had a wonderful exhibition of her work at the Dolphin Restaurant in downtown Yonkers.  Other venues include Yonkers City Hall and the Yonkers Parking Authority conference room.

This is an ambitious program and GG could use much help- please remember your volunteer hours!  We would like to expand this program to give as many members as possible an opportunity to exhibit their work. As part of your volunteer hours, contact your local library or community center and let us know if they are agreeable to an exhibition.

We also need volunteers in all of the following areas. Computer and web design skills are very welcome, but any and all time and energy is very appreciated.  The following are where help is most needed:

 Artist Database                      Graphic Design

Blue Door Website

Liaison with Schools

Docent services                    Membership

Exhibitions                             Newsletter

Grant Research                     Photography of Events

                                                     Technical Support

If you can help in any of these areas, please contact me. For all of you who are already volunteering and doing such a fantastic job, THANKS.
