The fall season has begun beautifully with the current show, Common Ground: Art and the World, which is closing with the Artists Walk and Talk from 2 to 4:30 pm on Saturday October 8th. All are welcome to come and hear the artists describe their inspiration and techniques.

Dear Friends, Artists, Writers,   

  

I'm very excited to announce that the official opening of Po'Jazz, our new evening of fun consisting of live jazz, poetry and wine, will commence on November 23rd from 6:30pm to 8pm.

  

The evening will be a wonderful mix of both poetry and jazz featuring some amazing performers. This is the current line up -

Michael T. A. Thompson, sound rhythm
Larry Roland, bass
Will Connell, reeds
With poets:
Phylisha Villanueva
Peter Fiore and
Special Guest Poet, Brenda Conner-Bey   

 

The event is priced at $10 and $5 for students

FESTIVE BOUTIQUE HOLIDAY GIFT SHOP!

 

Christmas Gift Shop 

 

On November 15th, Blue Door Gallery will be opening it's holiday gift shop. This is an opportunity for artists to sell and showcase works ranging from $2 to $200.     Artists have until October 20th to submit work they wish to sell at the gallery.

 

 

DATES:    Oct 20th Deadline for submissions:

Nov 15th   Work due at Gallery  11 to 3 pm

Nov 19th OPENING DAY & RECEPTION 2-5pm

Dec 30th Last day/ all work removed from BDG

Special Holiday Hours: TBA

Entry fee: $15 payable online at

www.bluedoorgallery.org

or by check to

BLUE DOOR GALLERY (Installation fee if accepted: $10)

 

HOW TO SUBMIT:  Please submit your work via email in

picture format with the each individual price for each

piece you wish to sell. If you wish to to you can also send

in images of your work via post to : Blue Door Gallery, 5

Hudson Street, Yonkers, NY 10701. Notification of

acceptance will be sent by October 27.

Submissions validated with

receipt of payment.

 

 

Do come in to meet and welcome Blue Door Gallery's new General Manager, RICHARD CRAWFORD, an experienced gallerist and playwright.  We are excited to explore new ideas and programs with Richard  (and you) this coming season and invite you to become part of the Blue Door mission. Please note our new hours and save Thursday evenings for more performances and workshops.
