Arlé Sklar-Weinstein

Award winning artist, Arlé Sklar-Weinstein considers herself one of the fortunate, realizing her visual-tactile wiring early in life. She was an art student at the Parsons School of Design by age seven, a scholarship student at New York's Museum of Modern Art's Young Peoples Classes during her early teens, and recipient of BS and MS degrees in Art from New York University. Though trained and exhibited as a painter/ printmaker/ sculptor, Sklar-Weinstein turned her attention to digital imaging on the computer after a 1994 workshop with Photoshop in its 2.4 version.
Since then, Arlé has pioneered photomontage transfers onto layers of cotton and organza, creating a new genre within the Studio Art Quilt movement.
She has exhibited in widely in the USA including MOMA, NYC, The San Diego Museum, The Neuberger Museum, Purchase, The Hudson River Museum, Yonkers, The Hammond Museum, the Katonah Museum, and internationally in Toronto, Canada; Paris, France; Saki City, Japan; Mojocar, Spain; Birmingham, England and Cape Town, So. Africa. Her work has been published in several books, numerous magazine and newspaper articles, and in her own book:

Currently serving as Director of BLUE DOOR GALLERY, Arlé is also a member of The Silvermine Guild Art Center, New Canaan, CT where she will be in a Director's Choice Exhibition in Jan-Feb 2010, and ArtPlace Gallery, Fairfield, CT where she will present a Solo exhibition in May 2010.
For Arlé, art is all about life and its layers of opaque and transparent meanings.

Jacqueline Lorleo
Jacqueline Lorieo was born in Elmira, New York. A former resident of Larchmont, she is currently living in Yonkers with her husband. Lorieo is a sculptor, medallist and an occupational therapist. She has exhibited in numerous shows in The United States and abroad including The War Museum in Canada, The Hungarian National Museum, The Museum Beelden aan Zee, The Netherlands, The Neuchatel Museum of Art and History in Switzerland and The Museum of Medallic Art in Poland. She has work in prestigious public and private collections including The British Museum, The American Numismatic Society, St. Lukes-Roosevelt Medical Center, Helen Hayes Hospital, Gaylord Hospital and The Austin Center.
Lorleo's medical background influences the form and themes of her art. The work is beautiful, feminine, nurturing and powerful. Lorleo have incorporated the universal themes of humanity and science into the bronzes, her large wooden torsos, and small handheld medals. "I feel each piece provides a small window to my soul for the viewer."
