PAUL GRECO  will be showing at the Bronxville Library in a one-person Art Exhibition from JUNE 1 to JUNE 30.

The Exhibition "SPRING VIBRATION" features 25 abstract paintings, 11 acrylic on rag, 14 acrylic on canvas.  The artist is bringing together older and new pieces,  cohesively joined by a musical theme which runs through much of Mr. Greco's artwork.  "Francine's Vibration," guitar in vibrant blues, is reminiscent of Picasso as are many of Mr. Greco's works.

Opening: Sunday, June 7, 1pm - 4pm.

The artist is donating 10% of all sales to the Bronxville Library Fund.

FEATURING:

Saturday, June 6
Terry Brandon, photograph to painting  noon-2:30
Katherine Adamenko & Jef Campion  2:30-4:30
Performance artist and Butoh dancer Katherine Adamenko and multimedia and mosaic artist Jef Campion present "CUTTING EDGE," their premiere site-specific movement and art collaboration at Blue Door Gallery.

For both Jef and Katherine, art is destined to move - to provoke, to insinuate, and not to simply hang on the walls.  Art moves and that is exactly the point.

"CUTTING EDGE" is an improvisation and collaboration between artist and dancer and spectator.  The journey of art-making is the journey of life itself.

Saturday, June 13
Florence Suerig, porcelain collaboration noon-2:30
Amy Bilden, collaboration 2:30-5:00

Saturday, June 20th

Community Gallery @ BDG

Dear Artists, Friends of the Arts and Membership,

Summer is fast approaching and we need your support. Blue Door Gallery will transition the space into providing opportunities for the community to embrace the arts. We hope to inspire, educate, and bring about awareness to both the youth and older adults in our community. Already we have been witness to visitors recognizing our Gallery as a warm, inviting environment to explore their passion for the arts.

We are asking for volunteers to assist in our mission for community outreach and share your expertise with the community. We invite artists to do art talks, demos, and assistance with training opportunities for up and coming artists.

Our first show Arts for Healing will be not only providing the community with arts experience but also special events that focus on the therapeutic approaches to creative arts.

Our second show, Inspired by Heritage, will honor the cultures and artifacts that embrace who we are and what value we have in our histories. We are also looking for individuals or groups that are performers, artists, musicians who embrace their culture and would be willing to share it during a special event.

The closing ceremony will be on September 12 which coincides with Riverfest.  If you would be interest in helping out with the Riverfest Festivities sponsored by the Blue Door Artist Association that day please contact us. As you have seen in the past, artists have developed unique collaborative projects for the youth and families in the area for the festival.

Please contact Celeste Walls at celeste@artempowers.com if you would like to be part of an exciting summer here at the gallery.

Below are photos from the highly successful first Saturday Show 'n' Tell programs at the Blue Door Gallery. Don Axleroad drew in a crowd with his demonstration of woodcut prints; and Leslie Miller delighted everyone with her digital photographic portraits.
