Greetings!

The sights and sounds of the holiday season resonate in our minds. A new year represents a rebirth in ourselves to create new traditions, memories, and paths in life. Let each of us restore our passion for Art and that which makes us who we are!

Lectures on Photography
at Yonkers Schools

Turhan Von Brandon gave lectures on photography at four Yonkers schools.

At Yonkers Middle High School,  I spoke to over 50 members of the Photo Club. Next, I addressed an assembly of eighth grade students at Westchester Hills Middle School (School 29), and a small group of students at Lincoln High School. At Saunders High School, I spoke to the junior Graphics Arts students.

I talked about my start and involvement in art and photography, and about professional photography in general. The students were very enthusiastic and asked lots of questions; Westchester Hills Middle School put my lecture on their web page. The half hour lecture turned into a full one hour plus an assembly of the eighth grade. The Lincoln High School art teacher indicated that if they could make arrangements, they would like me to conduct several art/photography workshops. The Yonkers Middle High School Photo Club students were very interested about photography.
