Everybody's learning to communicate
|
Anyone in health care can tell you that these days it's all a learning experience, and communications are right in the middle.
The "silos" are coming down and new teams are forming. IT has to understand what clinicians need. Clinicians need to learn how to engage their patients.
Home care needs to learn how to communicate with inpatient caregivers. Patients need to learn use of mobile apps--or the internet--to be in control of their care.
Have you taken a look recently at all the communications going on in your hospital or clinic? With so many different audiences, tones and styles need to vary.
As one client told me, "clinicians don't care how the machine works--they want to know how it helps the patient."
It's worth spending some time to review your internal, and patient, communications, to support your busy teams.
See you in March!
