Greetings!

Last year at this time I was in the middle of planning for my kitchen renovation. When I remember the craziness during the project, I'm so glad it's over! And every day I'm thankful for the new kitchen.

If you have a move or home renovation coming up, read below for my top secret for staying sane during the process, and see how That's Neat! Organizing can help.

Wishing you a great start to your summer!

Home Sweet Home: Moving or Renovating this Summer?    That's Neat! Organizing Can Help Calm the Chaos

Moving and renovating are major events that will cause chaos in your life - it's inevitable.

What's my secret to surviving it all? Purge the excess stuff, and have a plan. For more on purging and planning, check out these blog posts from last year:

How to Stay Sane Tip 1

How to Stay Sane Tip 2

If you are feeling overwhelmed by an upcoming move or home renovation project, here are some of the ways That's Neat! Organizing can help you get ready and gain peace of mind:

  • Hands-on purging and sorting before you move. Don't pay to move things you won't use (like I did). I can help you create a plan to get rid of your unwanted items.
  • Preparing for a tag or estate sale.
  • Consultation to get your home ready to show at an Open House: what to keep out, what to put away, and how to make your home look great.
  • Space consultation in your new home, or before/after a home renovation. Let's brainstorm creative ways to use your new space.
  • Planning for the remodel, especially if you are staying in your home during the project.

If you are moving or renovating, give yourself the gift of support. Contact That's Neat! Organizing today.

Neat News

I'm proud to announce that I received my Chronic Disorganization Specialist Certificate from the Institute for Challenging Organization. This not for profit organization provides education and training to professionals who specialize in working with the chronically disorganized population.

In March I had a fantastic time at the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) Annual Conference in Baltimore! I learned so much from the sessions and from sharing stories with other organizers.

I'm excited to put all my new ideas and strategies to work with my clients.

Especially for Parents: The Lay-n-Go activity mat

Check out the Lay-n-go mat! First it's a play space: spread out the toys and play. When you are ready to pack up, pull the drawstring and it quickly closes and stores the toys inside.

This is another great way to organize LEGOŽ pieces or little dolls!
