Especially for Parents: School Lunch Prep Secret!

This tip comes from my good friend Susan, who shared with me how she tries to alleviate the morning chaos of packing lunch for her two kids. Her kids are in pre-school and Kindergarten, so she has to pack each one a lunch plus snacks.

Susan's Secret: on Sundays she preps the dry/snack foods, assembly line style. She gets out a bunch of snack-size plastic bags and then fills each one with goldfish, pretzels, crackers, and other snacks. All the little baggies go into a basket that sits on the counter.

In the morning, Susan grabs a few baggies from the basket, tosses them into the lunch box, adds fresh foods, and viola...lunch is served!
