2012 Desk Calendar is Available for Pre-Order

This year's 12 Months of Organizing Desk Calendar is all about creative storage ideas, including uses for items you may already have in your home.

A collaboration again with my cousin Janna Lufkin, we hope the ideas and images in our calendar inspire you to get creative. It's not about how much space you have, but how well you use the space.

Order your calendar today!

We are thrilled to have our calendar featured in the next issue of Better Homes & Gardens STORAGE Magazine

Get Cooking

My kitchen renovation project is finally done! I unpacked 21 boxes into the new space, doing some more purging of items along the way. How many whisks does one family need?

We are now cooking away...but as we live and use the space I'm sure we'll continue to refine where things go and figure out new systems. Look for more kitchen organizing tips in 2012.

Especially for Parents: Gift Giving Alternatives?

It's the time of year when everyone in the family starts asking what my daughter would like for Christmas. Now that she can read and write well, she's got quite the holiday list going.

I'm hoping, however, to encourage loved ones to give her something other than another doll outfit. Some of my ideas include a membership to a museum or tickets to a special event...or even home-made tickets for an outing together with the gift giver.

What are your ideas for gift giving alternatives? Email me or post to my Facebook page.
