P+F BB10 Series Plug-In Thru-Beam Sensors

There is no easier way to install a photoelectric sensor: Drill hole (13 mm) - snap in sensor - done. With a remarkably large maximum sensing range of 8 m the BB10 miniature photoelectric sensors can match large photoelectric sensors in every respect. This applies in particular to the conditions in which the sensors operate.
An extended working range for temperatures between-40 °C and 60 °C makes the BB10 suitable for extremely cold regions and locations where the temperature fluctuates drastically. The housing is completely encapsulated according to IP67 and the special design prevents fractures at the cable exit.
The BB10 thru-beam sensor is suitable for a multi-beam sensor installation. A lens with a narrow transmitter opening angle of 3° was developed specially. In addition, two frequencies F1 and F2 to avoid cross-talk. A clearly visible display enables simpler alignment by assessing signal stability.
The new plug-in button photoelectric sensors from the BB10 series are also extremely affordable sensors that sacrifice nothing by way of performance.

Super Bright Indicators from APEM | |

Super Bright panel mount LED indicators are sunlight readable, providing up to 10,000 mcd of light and a life expectancy of 100,000 hours, and available in 5mm to 22mm diameter size. APEM's LED indicators are available in five LED colours: red, green, yellow, blue and white as well as bicolor, tricolor and flashing LED's. SolaHD has introduced the new S4KC Uninterruptible Power System (UPS) incorporating a host of advanced true on-line, double conversion features in an ultra compact package that is purpose-engineered for industrial applications, such as Industrial Computers, Automation Systems, Robotics and Process Controls. The Future of the Photoelectric Sensor | |

Sensing by Ranging
Pepperl+Fuchs has launched a range of innovative new photoelectric sensors and distance measurement sensors under the motto "Sensing by Ranging". The only way to reliably measure the distance to an object where the reflection characteristics are constantly changing is by direct measurement. Learn more about distance sensor VDM28 with Pulse Ranging Technology as a direct measuring method, measuring photoelectric sensor RL31-8-H, and laser light sensor Line Runner ODT-LR300, all of which use sensing by ranging.
Pulse Ranging Technology (PRT)

PRT stands for Pulse Ranging Technology, a direct measuring method for distance measurement. PRT is the most precise industrial distance measurement process. With this advanced optical measuring method, a laser diode transmits short pulses of light that are reflected by the target object, and then recaptured by a light-sensitive receiver. The power of a single pulse is up to one thousand times more intense than the power of pulses generated by sensors that emit permanent light beams.
Triangulation Process with Integrated Measurement Core

The functional principle behind the measuring photoelectric sensor is based on the triangulation principle, combined with measuring functionality. The precise distance between the scanned object and the sensor is calculated by determining the position of the light spot on the photo diode line in the receiver. This enables the sensor to be parameterized in a variety of ways using the IO link interface provided as standard, so that it can be adapted to the relevant requirements as accurately as possible. Precise distance information is also available as a diagnostic value via IO-Link.
Laser Light Process

In the laser light process, a line projected onto an object is detected by a camera at a specific angle. Height and width information are determined using the triangulation principle.
