NEW! Angle Sensor with Integrated CAN
Electronics | |

The new 424CO is a rotary position sensor with an integrated CAN open protocol according to ISO 11898. This new product is based on Hall effect magnetic sensing technology, therefore the sensing element is contactless, thus making it extremely reliable in demanding environments such as construction equipment, agricultural tractors and combines, and other industrial applications.
The 424CO has a measuring range of 360° with a resolution of 0.1° over the entire angular range. Its shaft is supported by ball bearings in order to allow radial forces. The sensor is protected to IP67, and operates over a -40 to +85° C temperature range. The electrical connections are through a 6 pin Deutsch connector.
The 424CO withstands EMC up to 200V/m according to ISO 11422-5, making it extremely suitable for vehicle applications.
The CAN Open protocol offers various options such as baud rate selection or direction of rotation. The 9-32 VDC supply voltage is suitable for battery.
Elobau can provide cable sets with different lengths and actuating levers for the shaft actuation as optional accessories.

NEW! Range of Highly Modular Joysticks Grips

Elobau Sensor Technology Inc. introduces its 361G range of grips for various vehicles and industrial applications. This new grip was designed to provide maximum versatility and modularity. It comes with 2 basic versions, left hand and right hand, and provides as many as 9 different functions. Typical applications might include vehicle controls such as excavators, wheel and backhoe loaders, dozers, skid steer loaders, and other construction, mining and forestry vehicles, as well as agricultural tractors and combines, forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.
Up to three Hall effect thumbwheel controllers and up to 6 push buttons switches can be mounted in a single 361G, and many other configurations are possible, including an auxiliary 4 position analog control installed at the top of the knob. The push-buttons can be Reed switch contacts with backlit illumination, and analog linear Hall effect push buttons with 0.5 to 4.5 V output are also available. The thumbwheel controls use Hall effect technology and can be offered with redundant output signals, as well as LED based backlit and illumination functions.
An optional capacitive presence detection feature is available, and the 361G can be delivered with an integrated CAN module to reduce the number of wires coming out of the grip. Multiple combination of colors are available for the handle and all integrated controls, and Elobau can provide custom made symbols laser printed on the push buttons switches to enable a fully customized solution, based on standard parts.

N3/N4 Tilt Sensors | |

Whether at the platform of a lifting ramp or the fork tree of a stacker, even with difficult installation conditions the new, mercury-free tilt switches N3/N4 of Elobau gives an easy handling. With a remote control the user can adjust the zero-point easily. In addition they offer a large monitored area of ± 60°.
The tilt switches N3/N4 are based on a capacitive measuring procedure and are RoHs conformal therefore. The variant with one axle N3 and the biaxial N4 are not only more environmentally conscious, but on original side also more versatile than past mercury alternatives. While with these only two digital outputs were possible, the user can select with N3/N4 between two digital and at the same time two analog signals. The analog signals are available in the form of current or voltage (4 to 20 mA or 0.5 to 4.5 V).
The linkage of the individual switching points is variable, it can be linked "AND" or "OR". The advantage of this is the switching outputs, the deceleration time is adjustable. This function is important to filter out e.g. engine vibrations on vehicles. This maintains very stable and reliable measurement.
Another special highlight of the tilt sensor is its possibility for remote adjustment. The equipment is delivered with an adjusted zero-situation. This can however be set in the field by the user with an infrared hand transmitter. That makes this sensor suitable for unfavourable installation positions. In order to reduce the influence of unevenness of the underground, the inclination sensor is installed on three small-area leverages.
Elobau also offers a variant, which can be cultivated around 90° vertically rotated. The tilt switch is IP67. Its output signals can be visualized over a 24-LED-instrument. If a redundant solution is necessary for safety-relevant employments, another sensor can be set directly on the housing.

NEW! J6 Line of Heavy-Duty Industrial Joysticks

Elobau Sensor Technology Inc. introduces its J6 line of industrial joysticks, designed for heavy-duty use on various vehicles and equipment, including all types of machinery, cranes, forklifts, construction, oil & gas, forestry, agricultural and materials handling devices. Compatible multi-function levers are available with one, two or three pushbutton operation to suit most
any application.
J6 joysticks are offered in standard analog (Hall Effect sensor) or digital (Reed sensor) measurement styles, with voltage, current, PWM and CAN-bus output versions, all designed to resist EMC interferences, even to the demanding specifications of the auto and other industries. Housed in IP67 protection class enclosures, these joysticks are available in multiple mechanical configurations. Each has a static load capacity of 750N in both the X- and Y-axis and can withstand a maximum actuating force of 12N. The units feature multiaxial zero actuation or cross gate. Other gate and reduced angle designs available on request.
Elobau joysticks are available with or without a multi-function lever mounted. The literature now offered includes complete part number specifications to build the joystick for most any application.
Elobau is a vertically integrated manufacturer that performs all circuit and cable assembly, plastic molding, assembly and full performance testing at its factories. Thus, modifications to suit virtually all industrial and commercial requirements are achieved quickly and in a cost-effective manner, through the design and engineering talent resident at Elobau.

Online Level Sensor Configurator |
Using the new Elobau online configurator, customers can enter their specific requirements in 17 steps. The software determines the customised solution from a total of more than 1.5 million possibilities.
It sounds complicated, but it is very user friendly. In the early steps, the basic data is gathered: Which medium should be measured? Which density, which temperatures have to be considered? In addition, information regarding operating voltage, current, etc. have to be entered. Step by step other requirements - e.g. the required switching points, the fitting position or connection type - are determined, until the system suggests the most suitable level indicator for the application. In order to give proper advice to the user, Elobau provides important explanations to each question which will make the answer and decision easier. If individual framework parameters are not known and they are not critical to the selection of the individual components, they may be skipped. However, complete information will significantly speed up the quotation procedure. The user can always move back one or more steps in the selection, check answers or change them. If the user cannot complete all questions, the query may still be sent. In this way, the Elobau specialists already have the basic information available to respond and further assist with the requirement. To Select your level sensor visit:
