| UPS Solutions from Sola HD | |
The Sola HD Uninterruptible Power Supply product line is one of the most complete lines of UPS products and systems on the market. Sola HD offers four topologies and classes of power protection:
DC topology provides cost effective, efficient back-up power for 24 V DC applications. The SolaHD DC UPS will support the load during AC power loss or power supply failure.
Off-Line topology (also called stand-by) is a cost-effective UPS choice for small, less critical, stand-alone applications such as isolated PLC, PCs and peripherals. Network communications are a useful option.
Line-Interactive topology provides highly effective power conditioning plus battery back-up. This is particularly applicable in areas where power outages are rare, but where there are frequent power fluctuations. Network communications are available and sometimes necessary.
On-Line topology provides the highest levels of power protection, conditioning and power availability. True on-line topology is accomplished with double conversion technology. Network communications are often necessary to protect mission-critical applications.

| NEW! System MT RFID Solution from P+F | |
The MTT3000 and MTT6000 family of long-range RFID systems operate at 2.45 GHz and provide up to six meters of read-range. This RFID system is self-contained, with the reader and network interface integrated in a single industrial housing. These long range RFID readers feature built-in Ethernet TCP/IP, RS232 and RS485 ports, along with integrated frequency hopping to ensure maximum read-reliability. The IP65 housing with high visibility LED indicators allows for installation in most industrial environments.
"Long range RFID is indispensible when trying to track products that have a lot of position variability, which is pretty typical in large parts tracking, automotive assembly, and access control applications. The MTT3000 and MTT6000 RFID reader family is an economical and robust long range solution ideally suited for flexible manufacturing systems where short-range read heads are impractical due to tag mounting or other mechanical limitations."
These low-cost RFID tags that are completely sealed with integrated batteries can be mounted in the harshest conditions. They are designed so that reading or writing the RFID tag does not deplete the tag memory any quicker and have typical life spans of five to seven years. Tags have a low battery indicator for timely replacement.

NEW! Subminiature Compression Load Cells |
Stellar Technology introduces the new subminiature series VLC856 Compression load cells. In spite of their small size - with diameters from 0.38" and heights of only 0.13"- these load cells deliver exceptional 0.50% accuracy for ranges from 10 to 1,000 lbf. Micro-Welded stainless steel construction provides for a much more repeatable, reliable, and rugged product.
Standard output for the Model VLC856 is 2 mV/V and electrical termination consists of a 4-conductor Teflon cable with braided stainless-steel shielding and an integral temperature and zero balance board. The VLC856 is temperature compensated from 70° to 170°F, and the temperature effect on zero and span is minimal at 0.01%/°F, insuring reliable performance. These load cells have a standard operating temperature range of -40° to 250°F, with an optional operating range from -65° to 400°F offered.
These small but rugged units feature a static overload capacity of 150% (FSO) and are perfectly suited for a variety of demanding limited-space applications including medical robotics, components testing, semiconductor polishing (CMP), tactical feedback systems, infusion pumps, and orthopedic stimulation.

As the inventor of the magnetically actuated safety sensors, elobau are expanding their machine safety program to offer more machine safety solutions to their customers. Solenoid interlock safety switches, emergency-stop buttons and standstill monitors have been added to the wide range of safety sensors and control units for applications up to SIL 3 and PLe. This will allow the elobau customer to obtain all safety components directly from one source in the future.
In addition, Elobau has introduced safety sensors and switches designed especially for the food processing industry as well as safety sensors in a stainless steel housing for hygiene applications. They are also available with ATEX approval for fields of application with potentially explosive atmospheres.

Binder-USA has announced the release of a T-shaped splitter for the Series 870 7/8" connectors. The T-splitter is used to connect several devices for a power supply or a bus connection. Designed for DeviceNet applications, the 7/8" connectors are ideal for use in industrial automation environments.
The connectors feature a female to male and female connection with the option of 3, 4 or 5 gold-plated contacts. When properly mated the connection is sealed to an IP-67 rating and has excellent immunity to vibrations.
