Greetings!,
A patient stopped me the other day to ask how she could give back to the Clinic. An employee at a shop on Main Street, she said coming here has been a huge stress relief for her - knowing that, whatever medical concern she had, we would try to help. And our providers have helped, and made her feel so at home. Now she is collecting children's books that volunteers can give to all our young patients. Thanks to all of you who make her visits here possible! |
Quinn's Family "Funk"tion
September 15th
A celebration of health, wellness & sport
Quinn's Junction is a great home for the People's Health Clinic. We've always thought our location next door to the Summit County Health Department and on the road to the Park City Medical Center was very symbolic of the Clinic's success. We work hand-in-hand with both for prevention and care, and we hope to stop most local uninsured residents from ending up down the road in the Medical Center's emergency room. There's a lot to celebrate out here.
Now the neighborhood is having a party, and you're invited to our FREE day of fun and frolic. Try out a new sport ~ play games ~ win prizes. You can even try out an adaptive bike between sites! Read more.

Remember, you can have Oreos and juice when it's over....
Clinic collaborates with the Park City Police Department for a September 11th Blood Drive - noon til 5 p.m.
Two Park City PD employees have organized a blood drive to honor the memory of September 11, 2001. The Clinic is happy to support their cause with our volunteer efforts, and our blood, and hope that you will give the gift of life. Click the cross to sign up!
And on Sept. 29*, it's about beer and bratwurst....
Octoberfest at Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church will help fund lab tests at the Clinic this year.
The Church has chosen the People's Health Clinic as beneficiary of its annual fest, to help the Clinic fund lab tests for diabetic patients. This will help offset the sudden loss in funding for laboratory tests the Clinic suffered in June. We're very excited about the event and invite all Clinic supporters to come join us. Read more.
*We know, it's called Oktoberfest, but the weather in September is so much more predictable!

We remember
Dr. Dwight Klettke,
Early Clinic Medical Director and Webmaster, who passed away August 12th.
Dr. Klettke was a medical doctor who volunteered as a medical provider and Board member, and served as Medical Director in 2003 and 2004. Dr. Klettke also developed the Clinic's website and was webmaster for many years.
We send our condolences to his wife Pat and daughter Jennifer, and hope they feel great pride in his service to his community.

Rob Allen, CEO of the Park City Medical Center, and our neighbor at Quinn's Junction, says.....
"The People's Health Clinic plays a vital role in healthcare access in our community. Our community provides better overall healthcare because the People's Health Clinic is here to fill the access gap for the uninsured."
From offering low-income patients vouchers for reduced-cost diagnostic tests to providing specialist volunteers, the Medical Center supports our uninsured neighbors in so many ways!
