We are launching into the season of events - really great celebrations to benefit the People's Health Clinic. We have Canyons and the Park City Area Restaurant Association to thank for two of the upcoming events - Spring Gruv and the Spring Cocktail Contest. Both of these organizations appreciate the services we provide to the community and we're so glad to have their support!
Please make plans to join in these events. And read on to see some of the other wonderful local people who share their time and talents!

Winner of this Year's Wells Fargo
Stair Climb Firefighters Challenge
is Local Fireman and Clinic Volunteer Eric Hockbridge
He was the fastest firefighter up the 598 steps of
Salt Lake's Wells Fargo Center -
in full breathing apparatus!
This yearly event raises money for the American Lung Association, as individuals and groups, including teams of firefighters from the area, race up the Center's stairwells to the top!
The Park City Firefighters
won the challenge.
Eric's time was 4 minutes, 16 seconds.
(Yes, that's what I said.)
Watch the Promo for the
2012 Fight For Air Climb.
Maybe you'll want to try it
next year!

Congratulations to Volunteer of the Month
Dontai Warner!
Dontai and her brother Rory
both give their time in the Clinic.
"My experience here at the clinic has been great. It has taught me to be grateful for what I do have in my life. The patients look to us for help and to see how grateful they are makes it worth all the time I give. I constantly look forward to coming up here, even when it is an hour away for me. Everyone is very enthusiastic and eager to help - it is that atmosphere that is most inviting. I look forward to being able to come back after PA school to give more of my time."

Atticus Coffee, Books and Teahouse Infuses Clinic's "Reach Out and Read" Funds
Randy Winzeler and Ericah Shiavone-Winzeler, co-owners of this great little shop on lower Main Street, are helping our young patients build their home libraries.
Customers who trade in their used books at Atticus can donate the credit to the Clinic's Reach Out and Read program. Read the flyer.
Every young patient and expectant parent receives a new or gently used book to take home. Early experience with books help kids get ready for school and grow up to be health-literate adults. The People's Health Clinic believes that knowing how to read labels in the store or the doctor's instructions are important for a healthy life.
The next time you're in Atticus, tell them "Thanks!"
