Greetings!
This November, we invite you to celebrate good health with a chuckle and a toast, and raise funds for a good cause: quality medical care and health education for our uninsured neighbors.
Your ongoing contributions - as a volunteer, donor and advocate for healthcare - directly impact the health and wellbeing of all local residents, making our community exceptional.

Literacy and Health ~
A Strong Connection |
|
When doctors make literacy a priority, young patients grow up able to take charge of their health.
Most of People's Health Clinic youngsters live at or below the poverty line. They are much less likely to have books at home and their parents may not be aware of reading's importance. Early home reading will make a big difference for these kids in school, and will equip them to lead healthier lives.
Reach Out and Read prepares America's youngest children to succeed by training doctors to give and prescribe books and encourage families to read together. People's Health is proud to be a ROR site.
See what OUR pediatricians do!
A trio of passionate women are October's Volunteers of the Month.
Kathy Ostler MD, long-time volunteer pediatrician, is bringing the program to our doctors.
Pamela Herskowitz reads to children
in the waiting room.
And Maddy Shear helps organize the program.
This program is made possible
by grants and individual donations.
To participate, contact Sarah.
$30 buys books for one child through 10 well visits
$120 buys enough books to give to children each month.

Thanks! | |
For the 5th year in a row,
the Park City Area Restaurant Association donated the proceeds of their Cocktail Contest. And this year, in addition to the Spring competition, they held a second event on October 25th.
See the winning cocktail recipe.
The Association knows almost 20% of Clinic patients work in local food services, and they are glad the People's Health Clinic is here to keep their staff healthy through the busy season. We're glad for their participation in making Park City an exceptional community! | |
