Judy Sobin Is New Executive Director
Former United Way Summit County Regional Director Joins PHC Staff
Starting December 15, Sobin will oversee all administrative, clinical,
fundraising and communications activities for PHC and will guide it through its
growth and expansion into its new Quinn's Junction home. Sobin replaces Dr. John Hanrahan who served as
interim Executive Director since August of this year.
With over 30 years of varied professional experience, Sobin leaves her position with United
Way
having assisted many of Summit County's individuals, corporations and organizations to
address serious social issues.
PHC thanks John Hanrahan for his service and wishes him well as he begins his term as Summit County Councilman in January. We are very pleased that he will continue at PHC as head of the Medical Committee and as a Board member.

Greetings!
It's our fundraising season and so we invite you this month to read our story, both here and by clicking on the website link below, and consider a donation. First....
A Message from Adam and Cindy Bronfman:
PHC is one of the most important charities that Cindy and I give our money to. The work that the Clinic does is so critical to the people of our community. And as we go into these tough economic times ahead, more and more people will need the services of the People's Health Clinic. So, even though we are facing hard times and the pool of money from which we can give is diminishing, Cindy and I have decided to increase our gift to PHC this year. Last year our matching gift was $50,000 - this year it will be $60,000. We passionately believe that each dollar we give to PHC saves lives. It will save our community money. It will save our state money. Let me urge you to give and to give as generously as you possibly can. Imagine the good it will do!
Most sincerely, Adam & Cindy Bronfman

Call to Action - Help Us Meet 2 Major Challenge Grants!
Adam and Cindy Bronfman helped to launch our November-December giving season with a matching grant of $60,000 -- a 20% increase from their donations of the past several years.
There's more!
An anonymous donor has extended a challenge grant of $200,000 through December to match your donations.
Patient
visits at PHC are up again in 2008. With the opening of our facility
at The Yard in July, and the expansion in Clinic hours and available
parking, patient visits increased rapidly. PHC had 43% more patient visits than 2007! That's over 4000 patient visits!
We anticipate up to
6000 patient visits in 2009. Please help us meet this important
community need.

to everyone who attended, helped, and gave at our Annual Community Celebration on November 17th at Temple Har Shalom!
As the singing Dewettes suggested that night, you "gave a lot, then gave some more!"
What a great community we live in!
