Dr. Houchins
Meet Dr. John Houchins - Volunteer Tuesday Night  Medical Director

Dr. Houchins stands in the Clinic's screening
room and gestures towards an elderly man being shown into an exam room.  "That man is the reason I come here week after week", he offers.  "His first visit here was an emergency; in fact, he was rushed to the ER shortly after arriving.  He hadn't any idea he was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure and, once his condition stabilized, we began treatment and education that have changed his life- really saved his life.  It's thinking of patients like him that helps me make the drive here every Thursday evening."

Utah Humanitarian Pamela Atkinson Speaks at Fundraiser

PHC's annual fundraiser this past December was a success!  Loyal supporters, doctors, and other volunteers met at the Legacy Lodge at PCMR for food, mingling, music by Big Time Jazz, and inspirational words.  Guest speaker Pamela Atkinson summed up the future success of People's Health very simply.  "It is not enough for a loyal few to support such a worthy and necessary cause.  If you believe in the mission of People's Health you must spread the word.  Increasing costs, patient numbers and services means increased support to survive.
