DPC is WBENC Certified
How Does this Help Our Clients?
What is the WBENC Certification?
Hundreds of major corporations turn to the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) to identify women owned businesses to satisfy their contract needs because WBENC issues a Gold Standard, national certification to women owned businesses to ensure a qualified database of WBENC Certified Women Business Enterprises (WBEs).
WBENC Certification validates that the business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. To achieve WBENC Certification, women owned businesses complete a formal documentation and site visit process which is administered by one of WBENC's 14 Regional Partner Organizations. WBENC Certification gives women owned businesses the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC Corporate Members.
*Information from the WBENC website
What are the benefits of WBENC for our clients?
For companies that have supplier diversity programs, the WBENC certificate ensures that DPC meets all Gold Standards of service and excellence criteria that is recognized by a National Council of Standards. |

Kick Off Time!
The Jacksonville Jaguars & DPC Create Event Perfection!
DPC created a truly unique experience for one of our international clients that wanted a truly special "American Football Experience" while incorporating team building, team work, and team fun! DPC brought 3 former Jacksonville Jaguars football players, (Mike Hollis, Dave Wydell, & Lonnie Marts) to the Ritz Carlton to do play flag football on the beach in Amelia Island. Attendees were able to interact with the players during a football style warm up and training before the big game. To enhance this event, some of the ROAR Cheerleaders
stopped by to create a fun atmosphere that lifted the spirits of each player throughout the big game. Teams split into two and the players took position....Hut, Hut, HUT! Attendees enjoyed this fantastic and innovative team-building that allowed them the opportunity to work like a team and learn the importance of teamwork from the NFL players. And who could forget the fantastic comedic entertainment that made the event such a success...none other than
Jaxson de Ville, the Jacksonville Jaguars, team mascot!
"Destination Planning did a great job of helping us put together an event for our international colleagues. We knew once they were in charge of executing the event, we didn't have anything to worry about. Destination Planning has been involved in several of our meetings over the years and they have never disappointed us. Their professionalism and attention to detail is outstanding and we look forward to working with them again."

ATHENAPowerlink Graduation

The ATHENAPowerlink Graduation event was held at the Jacksonville Downtown Library on August 25th, 2010. The ATHENAPowerlink is a program that assists women-owned businesses by giving them a panel of unpaid business advisers that mentor the business owner in growing their company through their guidance and set goals. DPC was part of the inaugural graduation class and was able to meet all of the goals set by the advisory panel and is a true believer in this fantastic program run by the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Destination Planning Corporation's newest designer, Natalie Meyers, debuted her latest design for this event. The entrance was dressed in elegant foliage and archways to welcome the guests to the event. Once inside, the event was set as a comfortable and elegant cocktail reception. High cocktail tables were dressed in lime green and black floral print linens to the floor. Our designers created centerpieces, alternating in style using lime green roses and black river rocks. Buffets were set with coordinating decorative linens and topped with unique lime green carnation balls atop silver layered vases for a unique design. DPC provided contemporary black and white furniture with lime green pillows, creating comfortable seating for guests. The event was a perfect display of how businesses work together to reach one goal...SUCCESS! |

Designs on a Dime! An easy way to create event perfection!
DPC is taking the trends to new heights as we create unique designs on a dime! DPC has been creating different seating layouts that allow decor budgets to stretch out a bit further than usual. By using longer tables, fewer linens are needed pending on the style that you create. By doing a long tablescape of decor such as unique branches and floral accents along with floating candles and submerged flowers, your floral budget will allow for more decor. Large and oversized floral arrangments are best for just a few tables within the room to give some variety and height variance throughout the event. As seen in the picture above, DPC created a long tablescape of manzanita branches, mokara orchids, accents of white hydrangea and candles that created a elegent design for an affordable price! Let DPC show you more ways to cut costs on your events...call us TODAY!

Event of the Month!
The Jacksonville Downtown Library and DPC teamed up for a bridal showcase to remember!
The Perfect Wedding Guide hosted the Bridal Showcase at the Jacksonville Downtown Library on July 25th, 2010. The Library has amazing event space that Destination Weddings By DPC (DWDPC) has had the pleasure to work with for weddings and corporate affairs. The two teams decided to join forces to show off the magnificant courtyard venue that the Library has available for weddings and events and the unique design ideas that DWDPC can bring to life within this event space.

Our Design Team, led by Nicole Hernandez (Director of Event Design) sprung into action creating a whimsical design using bold colors of turquoise and melon as they transformed the couryard into three distinct areas for brides and grooms to see. From cocktail and afterparty furniture, unique seating ideas with ottomans for wedding ceremonies, and of course a twist on your normal head table, Destination Weddings By DPC captivated the interest of each and every bride that attended the show. DWDPC, showcased beautiful custom florals created in house along with a variety of table layouts that really created a unique event with the beautiful layout and fountain elements of the Library's courtyard venue. Brides were amazed at the ideas for not only their aestheic beauty but also the cost saving ideas that were included in the designs.
