The News...
DPC is so proud to announce that Anne Urban, President and Owner of Destination Planning was announced the 2010 Small Business Leader of the Year for the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. After years of dedicated service to her craft, her company, and her community...the GREAT city of Jacksonville, Anne was recognized and honored with this prestigious award. This is the type of award that means the most, as it comes from those that have assisted Anne and encouraged Anne through the years to better her leadership as an owner and encouraged her to be the risk-taker in the industry that she is. In Anne's words...
"I am honored and humbled to be named the 2010 Small Business Leader of the Year. I could not have successfully started and continued to run the business without the support of my family, team members and the Chamber's many programs dedicated to helping small businesses succeed."

The Team...
The DPC Team is Moving and Shaking it UP! DPC has been working hard to grow our team and our talent as the new year hit in 2010. With 3 new talented Sales Event Managers on board, our team is stocked with new and exciting ideas. DPC has also promoted from within and our new Director of Event Design is.. 
Nicole Hernandez - Director of Event Design
Nicole came on board in early 2007 as the Senior Event Designer. Coming from an experienced design background, she was an easy fit to the design department of DPC. During her time at DPC, she has produced some of our most unique and extraordinary events for our top clients. Handling groups from Tampa/Orlando to Amelia Island, her accomplishments are vast as she assisted in maintaining relationships with our key partners, creating and selling very successful and innovative events, and managing to quickly become the company's top producer. In 2007, she was also named one of the "Top 20 Designers Under 40" by BizBash Magazine. Nicole's new position will allow her to be the driving force of the sales team, as she leads our Sales Event Managers in the quest to event perfection for our valued clients.

| DPC Goes Fishing for the Cure!
Garrard Foundation Hosts a Night of Fun!
DPC was hired to be the event planning and coordination team for the Fishing for the Cure event sponsored by the David Garrard Foundation. David Garrard of the Jacksonville Jaguars, started his foundation after being drafted in the NFL. The foundation focuses it's efforts in support of breast cancer, Crohn's Disease and healthy lifestyles for the youth. The Fishing for the Cure event was a fantastic event held on May 15th which kicked off with a fishing tournament and ended with the MVP Party held at the Conch House in St. Augustine, Florida. The event was filled with fun and excitement including NFL players, auctions, live entertainment, autograph signings, and more. Contributors came out in support of this great cause and not only raised money for the cause but also awareness in the community. DPC was proud to be a part of the planning process.
" We had a great experience working with DPC! While I've managed several major fundraisers, this one was a little tricky since it was literally five unique events over a 30-hour period. Damara, DPC Event Manager was fantastic at working with the venue, vendors and volunteers. By partnering with DPC on the event logistics, I was able to concentrate on other event-related tasks such as marketing and promotion, sponsorship, live and silent auction, and fine-tuning the overall event plan. The company was an integral part of the success of our event."

Designs on a Dime!
An easy way to create event perfection!

   The Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Beach, FL was the host Resort for the 2010 FSAE Board of Directors Retreat. The beautiful Ocean Terrace was the place to be as the ocean breeze cascaded over the May 16th dinner event. DPC was honored to be the decor sponsor for the evening. The dinner took on a look of pure relaxation and elegance as the color scheme was warm and inviting. Tables were dressed in multi-tones of green with rich mahogany chivari chairs, bamboo bars and entranceways. Elegant centerpieces featuring white lanterns, seashells, and cymbidium orchids added a beautiful accent to each of the tables. One of our best Latin acoustic duos played a unique selection of songs throughout the evening. Guests also enjoyed a comfortable setting of lounge beach furniture set at the base of the terrace along the shoreline beneath a wooden cabana draped in fabric. The night was a perfect partnership of an elegant Resort and beautiful decor. Guests enjoyed the evening while dining on a delicious spread of lobster tail and filets hot off the grill. From A+ service to savory flavors, the night was unforgettable.
