Beacon's Relief Efforts in Response to Hurricane Isaac

Calling all volunteers!

There will be a New Orleanian volunteer day in LaPlace on Saturday, September 8th and Sunday September 9th.

Please register with Beacon of Hope by emailing Heather Huth at hhuth@beaconofhopenola.org or calling (504)309-5120.

The schedules for both days will be from 8:30am-3pm. We will meet at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church located at 529 West 5th Street in LaPlace, LA 70068 at 8:30 am. Assignments (addresses) will be handed out during a short briefing. We will be gutting, clearing out homes, and removing debris. We will have a supply of gloves, masks and other necessary equipment on site based on registration, but please feel free to bring your own shovels, hammers, crowbars, gloves, goggles, and a wheelbarrow if you can

Monetary donations are also needed for resources and supplies to assist in the cleanup efforts. Click here to contribute.

Help us help our neighbors!
