March 2012
THIS MONTH FROM THE BEACON OF HOPE

Dear Neighbor,

March is proving to be a very busy month for us at the Beacon of Hope! Please take a moment to read about upcoming events and opportunities for you to help revitalize New Orleans.

Beacon's Harrison Avenue Marketplace starts up its spring market line-up TODAY, March 14th from 5:00 to 8:30 in the parking lot of Lakeview Grocery.  Don't miss this month's entertainment:  "America's Hottest Accordion" winner Dwayne Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers!  Plus, enjoy Irish dancing in honor of St. Patrick's Day, arts and crafts for sale, and delicious delights from our food vendors!

March is one of our Volunteer Department's busiest times of the year thanks to all of the "Spring Breakers" who come to the city to lend a hand! We still have projects available to Gentilly homeowners in need of painting or landscaping. We've got thousands of helping hands available, so please nominate your neighbor in need of assistance by contacting our Volunteer Director Heather Huth today at 504-309-5120.

As always, thank you for supporting revitalization efforts in New Orleans.
