| BEACON VOLUNTEERS HELP LAKEVIEW HOMEOWNER | | |

Beacon of Hope and volunteers from AOL helped repaint the home of a very deserving family of 8 located in Lakeview. They are still displaced and trying to rebuild their beautiful 100 year old home. The owners sent us a letter that we'd like to share with you:
We would like to commend Ashley Christensen, Volunteer Coordinator, with the Beacon of Hope for the excellent job she has done in helping us get our home painted. Our home is over 100 years old and is a huge job to paint. Ashley has worked endlessly to get volunteers to help with our home. She is very friendly, efficient, and always has a positive attitude.
My family was unable to return home because our mortgage company did not release our flood insurance funds. We did not receive any Road Home funding, so repairing our home was almost impossible. Words cannot express our gratitude to Ashley Christensen, the Beacon of Hope and all the volunteers for their time, hard work and assistance.
Thanks again. Sincerely,
Karen and Joe Ebrahim

| OLD FASHIONED MILK PAINT DONATES TO BEACON OF HOPE | |
The company Old Fashioned Milk Paint has donated 16 gallons of their interior paint to Beacon of Hope to help take some extra expense off of our homeowners.
The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Company was established in 1974. They produce a paint that not only gives the look of Colonial America, with many historic-based colors, but is also completely biodegradable, with no VOCS, HAPs or EPA-exempt solvents added. They've found a safe way to reproduce the old look and make a milk paint the old-fashioned way. Yes, it will spoil, just like whole milk, but its also as safe as drinking whole milk.
