Artists, would you like to have your work/studio spotlighted in It's Friday? Email rani@randomactsart.com with up to two paragraphs about you, your studio & your artwork. Please include links to your website or Wholesalecrafts page and up to two pictures to be included. You can send the pictures as attachments or just send links to the pictures on your website.

Call for Exhibition Entries

CODAchrome 2011 

 

The Maine Crafts Association is proud to present CODAchrome 2011, an exhibition coming to the annual CODA Leadership Conference, in Portland, Maine this June. CODAchrome 2011 is a chance for attendees to share the exciting work of the craft artists in their organizations with a national audience at the Gallery at Harmon & Barton's in downtown Portland.

 

CODA members and participating organizations in the CODA conference are invited to select up to 5 artists/works to submit for the exhibit (space permitting), and will be responsible for arranging with their artists for shipping costs to be covered. For more information to submit work contact kshohler@gmail.com by Monday, March 28. 

 

Here is a brief outline of the submission process:
 
� I. Organization attending the 2011 CODA conference in Portland, Maine submits CODAchrome 2011 Exhibition Application Form with Entry Fee to the Maine Crafts Association no later than April 1, 2011.
 
� II. MCA contacts participating organizations with information about the amount of exhibition space available for artists from the organization no later than April 15, 2011.
 
� III. Participating organizations select artists/works to be exhibited and forward the CODAchrome Artist Information Form and Agreement Letter to the selected artists to be filled out and returned to MCA no later than May 1, 2011.
 
� IV. Participating organizations and/or selected artists forward all publicity materials to MCA no later than May 1, 2011. The exhibition will run from June 3 - 30, 2011.
 
� V. Works to be exhibited must be shipped in time to arrive at the MCA no later than May 30, 2011.
 
� VI. At the close of the exhibition, but no later than July 20, 2011, MCA ships the works back to the exhibiting artist or organization and invoices the return shipping cost to the participating organization.

NGlassworks creates exquisitely handmade dichroic glass jewelry in contemporary abstract patterns. Nancy Giere, the creator of NGlassworks, brings liveliness to her miniature works of art by applying unique and vibrant colors to each layer of glass emitting an enticing dimension to each piece.


NGlassworkNancy is a lifelong crafter who has been delighted with the success of her glass working career. After hearing praise and the constant questions of "How much?" she launched into the market without looking back. Her works of art were featured in the 2010 Best of American Glass Artists Book and have won awards at art shows in Virginia and North Carolina.
