Happy New Year CRAFT Members!
I hope you've had a terrific holiday season and this finds you optimistic for 2011! The last minute shoppers made quite a bit of news in my area.
With this New Year coming in, the board of CRAFT is taking a hard look at itself: the board, activities, member involvement, finances, and plans for the coming years. We have lots to be proud of and more work to do as well - sounds normal, doesn't it! We will have our one sit down, face to face board meeting in February during the BMAC show in Philly. It is there we hash out plans for the coming year.
We want your input. What do you think CRAFT should be doing? How can we make this a better organization for you?
We also want you! This is a member driven organization. That means, we can do only whatever a member helps us to do. Can you spend a little time: help reactivate the Teams that keep members in touch with each other; serve on the Membership Committee; work on networking and social activities to also help keep members in touch; be part of an internal PR Committee; serve on the Board! Remember, committee meetings are by teleconference, usually once a month. You participate at your own pace and to the level that is comfortable for you. Our thinking is that with lots of hands the handful is smaller. Please consider a small handful!

Going to NYIGF?
We need help covering the CRAFT booth. If you have time to work for a half day (9-1:30 or 1:30-6), CRAFT will pay half of your hotel bill for one night. That's a great way to get in that extra half day of shopping or seeing a show. We will send you notes and have a short teleconference before NYGift in January to go over what you need to know. Please help.
