Cost of Loyalty For Retailers

  

Retailers offering customer-loyalty rewards hope the benefits outweigh the costs, writes blogger and marketing consultant Lisa Biank Fasig. At Nordstrom, costs associated with its Fashion Rewards Program rose in the most recent quarter as more customers redeemed rewards associated with their store credit cards, but the payoff came in the form of higher overall sales.
