Great Fund Raiser
 
The Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi is publishing a new calendar called "Expose Yourself to Craft" just in time for American Craft Week. The calendar will be revealed on Sept 28 at a party at the Mississippi Craft Center, Ridgeland. Some of the proceeds will benefit CODA and CERF+.

Nancy Markoe
 
The nonprofit Arts Business Institute awarded a Special Achievement trophy to Florida retailer Nancy Markoe. For more that a decade Markoe has provided leadership, mentoring and teaching for ABI programs. She has acted in the role of a president for the board of directors, and has been a steady mentor to hundreds of artists.
 
 
T3 Teleconference: Preparing for Disaster

T3 Third Tuesday Teleconferences. One of the best parts of being a member of CRAFT is the ability to network with peers. We host monthly free teleconferences during which any member of CRAFT can call in and talk.

September's T3 will be about preparing for and recovering from a disaster. This T3 will be led by CRAFT board member Maud Boleman, whose Black Mountain Studio was destroyed by a fire in 2009.
