Dear MIP&L Members and Friends,

This month we introduce our newest staff member: Clean Energy Coordinator, Vince Maraventano! We celebrate the solid success of the recent Green Expo in Boston! We focus in a Cambridge Energy Alliance event at St. James and set our sights on Solar for Lowell!

CLEAN ENERGY CHOICE IN LOWELL
clean energy graphicMIP&L is working on a grant in Lowell to promote the
CLEAN ENERGY CHOICE
initiative.
Under the program (sponsored by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative), by choosing to purchase electricity from suppliers of clean energy, consumers can trigger awards of grants to Lowell to develop clean/renewable energy projects AND help low income families meet their energy needs!

If we sign up 150 people or entities by APRIL 30, a SOLAR PANEL will be installed on a public building in Lowell!!

GREEN EXPO A HUGE SUCCESS!
tree The recent Green Expo in Boston brought together hundreds of people throughout New England to put green strategies into ACTION  in their homes, schools and workplaces.... Note the key word: ACTION.  (Special thanks to the volunteers who staffed the MIP&L booth and helped spread the word about the work MIP&L is doing to support and encourage ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP!)

ACTION STEPS: GO TO THE MIP&L WEBSITE AND CHECK OUT OUR EVERYDAY ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP (EES) BRIEFS... short, easy-to-understand and use. Among "low-hanging fruit" that gets good quick results are:
