Happy New Year, Beady Friends!
True confession time. I'm one of those silly people who always says, "I like cold weather." Hey, my idea of winter is bright sunshine, a slight breeze, and mid-40s daytime / upper-30s at night. Mother Nature needs to get with the program!
We had a great holiday season and are madly working to get the shop restocked. Bear with us - but please let us know if we are out of something you need. We'll make it a priority. And, for those of you who asked, my Christmas present from my dear aunt was part of a water buffalo. No, I don't know which part. (Note to new readers, my aunt makes a donation to Heifer International in my name. I get a kick out of trying to guess what I'll get each year. Plus, it is a truly wonderful charity.)
If you haven't seen the latest issue of Stringing magazine - you really need to. It has 37 projects in it using chain - much of it brass or copper. Fortunately, we've got quite a selection of chain, including 7 more styles we got late last week. We've already had to reorder the magazine - it has definite drool-appeal.
We have some great classes scheduled for the next few weeks - take a peek at the calendar on our website. The two-bead ring Thursday night is a lovely way to enhance your wire-bending skills. And for you total newbies, the Simply Earring class on Saturday is a "required" class. You really do need to learn how to make a wrapped loop - it's not just for earrings.
Save the Date - Sunday, February 7th, is Super Bead IV. We'll be open from noon to 5pm and have "tail-gate" food, discount coupons, and a "surprise guest." The first ten customers wearing a football t-shirt or jersey get a special gift. A portion of our sales will go to Broken Arrow Youth Football Tigers, 6th grade Black Team. Go, Tigers!
Thank you for all your wonderful support in 2009 & wishing you all things fabulous in 2010,
Teresa |
