"Girls Kick It provides healthy and economically sustainable opportunities for young girls and women living in Northern Uganda by utilizing the power of sport to compliment ongoing efforts to train, educate, empower and unite the people of Uganda. They provide athletic games, team-building and leadership-building activities and weekly soccer practice. The girls have demonstrated new-found confidence, teamwork and the belief that they have control of their futures."

Demosphere's own Joshua Montross recently had an amazing opportunity to play soccer with the young women's team when they traveled to Washington, D.C.  During their visit, the Ugandan women enjoyed running around the National Mall, attending a World Cup Qualifying match, and playing soccer with Joshua; it was the first time they had played against an American man!
