Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) - charges to apply from 08 September 2010
We would like to advise you that
national car rental logoeffective 8 September 2010, the
US Government will charge passengers applying for an ESTA.

We therefore encourage travellers to obtain their ESTA prior to
8 September 2010 to avoid this new $14 charge. Once an ESTA has been applied for and approved it is valid for 2 years.

You must apply for your ESTA at least 72 hours prior to your departure to the USA.

An ESTA is an electronic travel authorisation that all nationals  of Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) countries (that includes the UK) must obtain prior to boarding a carrier to travel by air or sea to the United States under the VWP. This travel authorisation has been in effect since January 2009.
