Patient Perspective: Alison Simoneau

Alison"I was born in 1995 as a normal baby. Through time I learned to crawl and do all the other things normal babies do. Then in 1996, when I was 11 months old something unexpected happened. During dinner one night I became limp and fell over in my high chair - I was completely unresponsive.

I was rushed to the hospital and many tests were run. My parents were told that I had been hit with a virus called Viral Myelopathy that landed on my spinal cord and paralyzed my left side."  Learn more >>
