The Flu Shot is still recommended and it's still offered here at Franciscan to children in our regular and medical daycare, on all our units, to family members, caregivers and staff.  Vaccination is still the best way to protect against seasonal flu and its potential severe complications in children.

One seasonal flu vaccine protects against three influenza viruses, H1N1, H3N2 virus and influenza B virus.

Every child will say the holiday season is their 'favorite' time of year, but for children at Franciscan Hospital for Children, this truly was a holiday season to remember!  When Santa visits, the entire hospital gets turned upside down.Shaquille Plays Santa

 

But after Santa,nothing could compare to our surprise visit from the Boston Celtics # 36 Shaquille O'Neal!  Standing 7' 1" tall and weighing 325 pounds, he is one of the biggest players ever to play in the NBA.
