Despite the lack of go go girls, our debut show at Rebel this past Thursday was a major success, drawing a crowd of 200 who were wowed by a kickass light show and performances from Full Metal Jacket, Chuck & Sue Rock, Toast, The Kicks, and Dave Sasscer & The Mojo Conga Jam. We've been invited back for a return engagement at Rebel on Thursday, October 25.
Speaking of Dave Sasscer & The Mojo Conga Jam, we're proudly offering a limited number of the new Quiet Mind CDs for sale
at the Jam at the reduced price of $10 - all of which goes directly to the band. Come on down and pick up copies for yourself and
your friends, families, casual acquaintances, random people on the street and
those whom you are sure to meet at some point in the future.

"Keyboardist and Guitarist are seeking bass, drums, and sax to organize
a band focusing on the (Jazz) Crusaders and other
similar/related funky jazz material."
"Guitarist seeks musicians interested
in playing "classic" punk and pre-punk e.g. MC5, Ramones, Dolls,
Pistols, Clash, Dead Boys, Sham 69, Stiff Little Fingers, UK Subs, Buzzcocks,
Johnny Thunders, Gang of Four. Not interested in dressing or pretending
to be "punk" (I'm a 46 year old lawyer). I just love the music."
Steely Dan tribute No Static seeks sax and backing singer(s), preferably female.

The Gibson Alvin Lee Signature 335 is a meticulous Custom Shop re-creation of "Big Red", the axe made famous by its appearance (along with Mr. Lee and his band, Ten Years After) at/in Woodstock. Distinguished by an extra single-coil pickup and control knob, a black-painted neck, and a slew of hippie-era stickers, it's hard to confuse this ES-335 with any other. Other features include aged hardware and faded Cherry finish, TP-6 tailpiece, and a slim taper neck with block inlays. There are only 50 such Big Red replicas in existence, and we've got one for Jam members to try out, now through October 11. Then it's...goin' home! |
