The Rolling BonesAfter a couple of weeks off (required post-Jammys rest), we're back in action with a showcase at Red Lion that features two acoustic acts (Planet Girl and Liz Weber), classic rock from Frisky Business (Elliot Hurwitz, Tony Novarro, Al Sklar, Marc Steve, Lisa Thaler), the delayed-
and-re-scheduled debut of soulful rockers Toast (Robert Diamond, Eric Gonchar, Kevin Pfieffer, Evan Sanyo), international supergroup Blue Moxie (Ted Ames, Ken Katayama, Lee Leshen, Taka Shimizu), and headliners
The Rolling Bones
(Ted Ames, Greg Manning, George Majoros, Charlie Mangano, Scott McCoy, Sandra Lagerstrom, Dave Stancavish, Guy Villano). The only thing cooler would be the reformation of Spinal Tap.
 Technology
Gibson Les Paul BFG
It may not make you play like 2007 Jammy Award-winning Best Guitarist
David Patterson, but the Gibson Les Paul BFG is a monster in it's own right, with an unsanded top, distressed hardware, and a total lack of frills (like binding or covers for the pickups and truss rod) that makes it look like something out of Dr. Frankenstein's garage. Now through February 13 you can check out this beast with the wooden control knobs, P90 pickup in the neck position, and clear control cavity covers - that is, if you're a Jam member.

This week we brought home a treasure chest for percussionists, including new Zildjian cymbals, a new snare stand for Studio 1, an Axis X kick pedal (which will either go in Studio 3 or with our "touring" hardware), some new drum sticks, and beautiful and ingenious wood covers to protect our new LP congas. After nearly a year of experimenting with our unique Zildjian Cymbal Menu, we know what our people like, so we've jettisoned the less popular sets, doubled up on your favorite K Dark Thins and added another set of "fast" cymbals from the K Custom line. The revised menu looks like this:

Zildjian K Dark Crash ThinCUSTOM: 15" & 16" A Custom Crashes, 20" A Custom Ride
DARK: 15" & 16" K Dark Thin Crashes, 20" K Ride (2 sets)
FAST A: 15" & 16" A Custom Fast Crashes, 20" Ping Ride
FAST K: 15" & 16" K Custom Fast Crashes, 20" Gadd Ride   GADD: 16" & 18" K Custom Session Crashes, 18" Ride
MEDIUM: 16" & 17" A Medium Crash, 20" A Medium Ride
SIZZLE: 15" & 16" A Thin Crashes, 19" Armand Ride
