Cutting RoomIt's busy season here at the Jam, with three shows in the next three weeks. First up is our Cutting Room debut this Thursday with some Mike Doughty tunes from Shoebucket (Matt Moore, Gregg Raybin); the debut of funky instrumentalists Lodestar (Chuck Bernklau, Ross Brooks, Carlos Cabrales, Phil LaRussa), the sultry stylings of Ninonne (with help from Bob Adleman, Elena Belan, Lou Clark, Ethan Rosenblatt); R&B with Jackie (Lou Clarke, Rich Mansour, Tony Novarro, Rich Oshinsky, Jackie Schwartz); Brooke Moriber (with her buddies Carlos Cabrales, Beth Hoff, Pearl, Tony Novarro, and Barry Rich); and the split personnae of Dueling Elvis (Robert Brandow, Hank Goldsmith, Pete Herman, George Majoros, and Joe Tomasulo). For more info, see "Weather" below.

Epiphone John Lee Hooker Signature 1964 Sheraton

Our latest "Check Out A Gibson" guitar is an Epiphone John Lee Hooker Signature 1964 Sheraton. And we do mean Signature: This one bears the autograph of the legendary author of "Boom Boom" and "Boogie Chillen" - along with some unique touches like a
"Frequensator" tailpiece, 5-layer bound pickguard with metal E, and "New York" mini-humbuckers. Though the instrument (like it's namesake) is no longer in circulation, Jam Members may try her out through April 5.

And a big "thank you" to Tony Randazzo, who donated a historic 48th Street Custom Guitar (remember them?) to the Jam over the weekend. If you're feeling similarly generous, drop us a line - we're always intrested in instruments, amps, mixed martial arts DVDs (me) and fine chocolate (Eric). If we can't use it or sell it, we'll donate it to a deserving public school. Either way, some kid will end up enjoying your toys, and they will no longer be collecting dust (or taking up precious space).
