Grand Rapids - The growing need for sack suppers for children in the Grand Rapids community motivated Kids Food Basket to relocate from their Butterworth location to a larger facility at 2055 Oak Industrial Drive NE. Kids Food Basket's Executive Director Bridget Clark Whitney predicts, "In the next few years, Kids Food Basket will be able to double the number of sack suppers distributed to children in our community."  Prime Development's Mark Ansara assisted Kids Food Basket in the signing of a ten year lease at the new 9,792 square foot location. Cathy Bottema of Signature Associates represented the landlord, Grand Rapids Label, in this transaction. Renovations started at the end of July. Kids Food Basket plans to take occupancy in late August and begin operations in September. Currently Kids Food Basket serves over 2,500 sack suppers each weekday during the school year.
