In partnership with Metro Productions and the
Peninsula Fine Arts Center, the First
Peninsula-wide "Empty Bowls" event
has come together.
Empty Bowls' goal is to feed hungry families
and individuals in our community.
Potters and other local artists will be
donating their talents to this great event.
The event will take place on February 10, 2012
beginning at 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center.
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
Your ticket includes a simple meal of chef-crated soup, plus bread and desert.

will all be on hand with their tasty creations.
You will also receive a hand-crafted bowl of
your choice with your ticket purchase. The bowls have been created by local potters.
One hundred percent of the proceeds
will be donated to local hunger
fighting organizations including
Food Bank of Virginia Peninsula
FISH Emergency Services of Williamsburg
and Lamb House Street Ministries of
Hampton and Newport News.
This project was founded as a grassroots
effort to raise both money and
awareness in the fight against hunger.

An Evening with St. George Join us for our Winter Beer Dinner to be held at St. George Brewery. Andy Rathmann, master brewer, will share several varieties from the St. George, Old Richmond, and Tuppers lines... to include the spectacular Russian Imperial Stout and Winter Scotch Ale!! Peninsula Glass Guild's
24th Annual Juried Exhibition
December 10, 2011 - January 22, 2012
The Peninsula Glass Guild will mark the start of
their third decade by hosting the
24th Annual Juried Exhibition
at the Charles H. Taylor Arts Center.
Since 1986 members of the
PGG have been promoting quality art
glass to our community.
This annual exhibition provides a
means for the artists to gather for
educational and support purposes.
2011 will bring Virginia's finest glass
artists, professional and non-professional,
to the area to display their work adding a
sparkling luminescence to the center
just in time for the holiday season.
A record number of over 150 works
by more than 40 glass artists from across the
state of Virginia are included.
This year's exhibition, beginning
December 10, 2011 through January 22, 2012
was juried by Charlotte Potter, conceptual artist,
designer and Glass Studio Manager at the
Chrysler Museum.
Ms. Potter selected $1,250 in prizes as well as
the $500 Hampton Arts Commission Award
to deserving glass artists.
Peninsula Glass Guild 24th Annual Juried Exhibition
This Juried Exhibition features over 125 exciting works by 40 of the finest glass artists working in Virginia today.
Ali Rogan: Allegorical Stories in Glass
The 2010 Best in Show winner, Ali Rogan of Cristallo Artisans,
will be presenting her latestglass works, including works created with a variety of glass processes.
Admission is Free.
