Update on Presidential Search
Dear Conservatory faculty, students, alumni and staff,

Having interviewed a number of search consultants during the summer, members of the Presidential Search Committee voted unanimously to recommend to the Executive Committee to engage the services of Jonathan Fortescue, managing partner of Park Square Executive Search of Cambridge, Massachusetts. This engagement has now been approved and finalized.

Mr. Fortescue brings vast experience in both academic and corporate executive searches and was most recently successful in the placement of the head of the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. He holds a Ph.D. in American literature from Harvard University and has been a college instructor for many years.

We expect Mr. Fortescue will be in San Francisco to meet with members of the Conservatory community during the week of September 24. The exact date and meeting schedule will be announced in due course. We are excited to be working with him and look forward to a successful conclusion to the search in early spring next year.

Sincerely,

Barbara Walkowski
Chair, Presidential Search Committee
