Weekly "Dicho con Café"
"Esta' como mosca en leche!"
The author's translation is that "Being like a fly in a bowl of milk"!
Another similar saying would be "stands out like a sore thumb" which means that the person in question is very conspicuous in the surroundings that they are in at that time such as being the only male in an all female setting, dressing casual in a formal attire event or any other situation in which the persons appearance, ethnicity, gender, religion, etc. makes that person stand out in that specific surrounding. This can also apply to other items such as animals and even vegitation when placed in a totally different setting which makes them stand out.

More About John A. Flores
Mr. Flores was first exposed to dichos as a child by listening to numerous migrant workers, many of them being men who sat around the campfire with Mr. Flores' father, relaxing and talking after a long, hot and exhausting day of harvesting. He would hear someone make a remark of a few words, causing some to laugh or nod their head in acknowledgment or in agreement of what was said and then someone else would respond with another few words, once again drawing laughter or the nodding of heads. Since Mr. Flores' first language was Spanish, and as he had learned to read and write in his native tongue before he learned English, he was able to write down what was being said, even though at times he didn't understand or grasp the complete meaning. His father, when later asked, would then share with him the meaning of those dichos, and the life applications that came with them.
