New Outreach Campaign Announced
This fall we will launch a new outreach campaign designed to bring attention to problem gambling. We hope our message inspires problem gambles and their loved ones to call for help. You can see more of our award-winning billboards here.

Counselor Education
This summer we will welcome 14 new counselors to our network. This will allow us to provide help quicker and closer to home for our helpline callers. We are also excited to host a training this August on advanced techniques for treating problem gamblers. This will give current network counselors more tools for effective treatment.

Studies have shown that women are more likely to seek help for psychiatric or substance disorders. Our statistics from the Rx Abuse Quitline reflect this as well. Despite the fact that the majority of users are identified as male, most helpline callers are female. This is likely caused by females who are calling the helpline to seek help for their loved ones.
Our Rx Drug Abuse website is currently under construction. In the meantime, check us out on Facebook. |

There are now over 50 SBIRT sites in West Virginia! This gives us a great opportunity to provide early intervention for substance abuse. First Choice Program Coordinator Jane Reynolds along with WV Division on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse staff Jim Matney and Steve Mason have facilitated statewide trainings to increase capacity of this program.
