New Additions To The TEI Team
 Dan Shore - Area Systems Engineer - Central Region
Mr. Dan Shore has been in the business of designing and selling audio systems since 1994, from small clubs and roadhouses to mega-churches and government installations. Having previously served at TEI as the Western Regional Sales Manager, he most recently worked at Digital Video Networks & Audio Analysts in Denver, CO as a systems designer. Dan now returns to TEI in the role of Area Systems Engineer for the Central Region beginning October 1st. Dan is NICET certified and also carries a CSP certification for sales, is well-versed in EASE, AutoCAD & SMAART software applications. Dan's technical ability and familiarity with TOA solutions will make him a valuable asset to TOA. He will be based in the Chicago Metro area and will report to the Central Regional Sales Manager.
 James McGuinness - Technical Support Specialist NJWe are glad to announce that Mr. James McGuiness has joined the TEI Team as a Technical Support Specialist, beginning October 1st. He will be working with our Technical support team to offer phone and on-line support to our customer base, as well as training and on-site support. James comes to us with over 15 years of experience in Technical and Customer Service in the electronics industry. Most recently he was the department leader and technical adviser to the customer service and sales teams for a leading audio video manufacturer. James will be working from our Secaucus, NJ offices and will report to the Technical Support Assistant Manager. Welcome aboard Dan & James! |

IR-802 "Lots of Class" Promotion
TOA has announced the introduction of its IR-802 Infrared Wireless Classroom System and, to get off to a great start, the IR-802 system is being offered at a special promotional discount for a limited time.
When purchasing an IR-802 System between now and Dec 31st, 2012, we'll take an additional 3% off your invoice price. This promotion may also be combined with systems purchased under the TOA Dealer Project Registration Program. For qualified orders, that's a total of 8% off.
The IR-802 System includes everything you need: An integrated IR tuner with two IR wireless microphone inputs and three other inputs for other audio sources (such as MP3 players, PCs, etc...), a dedicated output for connection to assisted listening systems, remote volume input and mute control for paging override. This connects to the UL rated, Class D powered, in-ceiling coaxial speaker with a 360 degree IR sensor for reliable pickup of IR signals. The 170 degree wide-dispersion speaker provides even coverage and intelligible sound throughout a 30' x 30' classroom. Connection via a single CAT5 cable makes installation fast and simple, greatly reducing labor cost and materials. Also included are a teacher's pendent-style IR microphone for clear voice transmission and its recharging cradle (so the system's ready to go for the next 8-hour day) and high-quality classroom sound is within reach. Options include a second pendant or handheld IR wireless microphone, rack-, desk- or wall- mounts, and a surface-mount backcan for ceiling speaker/amp/sensor.

September Show Wrap-Up
 TOA was an exhibitor at the 2012 WFX Show in Atlanta, GA on Sept 19th & 20th. Here we had an opportunity to display our solutions for House of Worship, including SR-H & SR-S Slim Line arrays & HX-5 loudspeakers, 9000M2, D-2000 & M-633D Digital Mixers, DA Series Power amps, plus Trantec & 5000 Series Wireless Mics. Church groups & AV integrators who visited our booth expressed lots of interest in TOA, especially for Slim Line & HX-5 speakers. It was also the first roll-out of our new exhibit display, which received several positive comments.
 The popular BAI Technology Tour resumed in 2012 with a whirlwind jaunt through the state of Florida. This was a four-city tour which included stops in Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, Tampa & Ocala. Each location featured an exhibit hall with multiple vendors and a full day of training sessions. TOA was on hand with a fully stocked display featuring products sold through BAI Distributors. Being presented was the 9000M2 (with new paging accessories), Slim Line & HX-5 Speakers, TS-770 Conference System, our new IR-802 Classroom System, the also new AV-20D Micro Plenum Amp and the PC-580R UL Ceiling Speaker. In addition, we showed the Trantec & 5000 Series UHF wireless systems and the A-2240 Mixer Amp. Attendance was very good and TOA spoke with many BAI customers about the new products. TOA also provided three pairs of BS-1030W speakers which were raffled off during the events. The tour was wrapped up at BAI Headquarters in Ocala with an outdoor BBQ and live music. TOA was glad to be a participant and sponsor of this successful event.

Product Spotlight
The H-1 Series Designer Speaker has become a popular choice for installations requiring high-quality sound in a compact and architecturally-compatible speaker.  The H-1 is a 2-way speaker which can be installed in-wall/ceiling with an attractive (paintable) cover that allows a neat, flush look. The speaker can be adjusted for angle of +/- 45 degrees and can be set to operate at various 70V taps up to 12W, or at 4 Ohms. The H-1 is being utilized as a local PA speaker in courtrooms and HOW (jury box/pew speaker) and also for POS & museum kiosks. It also works well for overheads in conference rooms and as fill-in for churches and auditoriums when used on columns or under balconies. Its minimum reflection design gives it focused, articulate sound not achievable with conventional "box" speakers. Also check out the rest of the Designer Series-H-2, H-3 & HB-1 subwoofer. |
