VM-3000 Emergency Voice-Evac System
TOA will be announcing the launch of its VM-3000 next-generation Emergency Voice Evacuation System at InfoComm 2012. The VM-3000 is the culmination of TOA's 50+ years of experience providing voice evacuation solutions for venues throughout the world (including the 2008 Beijing Olympics)!
The VM-3000 is an integrated system, incorporating a paging matrix/mixer with DSP, digital messaging, a priority microphone and power amplifier/zone selection. An easy-to-use GUI programming interface (for MS Windows™) provides simple setup and configuration via Ethernet. Designed to suit small to medium sized applications such as schools, office buildings, industrial facilities and shopping centers, the VM-3000 can expand to cover as many as sixty paging zones with a maximum of 3,600W (@ 70V) and can even broadcast background music sources. Available models will consist of the VM-3240VA & VM-3360VA System Amplifiers with 240W & 360W @70V respectively, the VM-3240E & VM-3360E Expansion Amplifiers, the VM-300MF Fireman's Microphone and VM-320F Fireman's Microphone Extension. The VM-3000 will also carry UL2572 certification (which complies with new NFPA72 2010 standards governing such systems) when it becomes available later in 2012.

IR-802 InfraRed Wireless Classroom System
TOA will be launching its IR-802 Infra-Red Wireless Classroom Sound System at InfoComm 2012. The IR-802 comes packaged as a complete solution for typical 30' x 30', K-12 classroom environments. The IR-802 offers the advantage of total isolation between classrooms and simple wiring setting for fast & simple installation. The system consists of the IR-802T integrated Mixer/Tuner, which is equipped with dual IR reception channels to allow for the simultaneous use of two IR mics (any combination of teacher's pendent mic, plus an optional hand-held or pendent mic). The IR-802T provides three line inputs for auxiliary sound sources such as DVD players, PC's and MP3 players and a line output for feeding assisted listening devices (ALD), An incorporated three-band equalizer allows adjustment for room acoustics and to help prevent feedback. The IR-820SP Powered IR Speaker combines a 5" 2-way coaxial speaker with a built in 20W Class D power amp and 360 degree IR sensor ring for reliable pickup from any direction. TOA's Wide-Dispersion Technology provides even coverage throughout the room. The IR-820SP will also be UL2043 rated for installation in ceiling plenums. The connection between the two units is via a single CAT5 wire with RJ45 termination, making installation fast and easy, which will help to reduce labor costs. The supplied IR-300M Teacher's Pendent Mic provides a built-in omni-directional microphone and can accept any of several lavalier or headset mic options. The system also includes an IR-200BC battery charger and rechargeable AA NiMH batteries Options will include the IR-200M Hand-held student mic (along with additional IR-200BT rechargeable NiMH batteries), HY-TB1 Tile Bridge & MB-15B-BK 19" rack-mount kit. An optional desk/wall mount kit will also be offered. The IR-802 System will be available for sale in the Summer of 2012.

New Class D Micro Amp
TOA will debut its AV-20D Micro Amp at InfoComm 2012 in Las Vegas, June 13-15. Measuring just under 6" x 6", the AV-20D is a stereo amplifier designed with Class D circuitry (similar to technology incorporated in the TOA DA Series Amplifiers) best known for small size and high-efficiency. The output power is 20W x 2 at 4 Ohms and can be bridged for a total of 40W at 8 Ohms. The AV-20Ds rear panel sports an input compliment of balanced terminal block (transformer isolated), RCA and TRS mini-jack, each with a sensitivity selection switch, allowing it to accommodate a range of sources. It also features a remote volume control port and breaker reset button. The front panel has recessed input level adjustment and Bass/Treble controls along with input signal present and peak overload LED indicators. The AV-20D is UL-2043 plenum-rated and carries Energy Star 2.0 certification. It is equipped with an auto power shut-off/standby power circuit. The AV-20D's compact size and high-efficiency makes it ideal for use in "hang & bang" AV presentation systems in corporate boardrooms and other meeting spaces. The AV-20D is also suited for use in kiosks and POS displays or for signage applications. The AV-20D carries TOA's 5-year Audio Product Warranty. The AV-20D will be available for sale in the Summer of 2012.

MNS Ceiling Speaker
TOA is proud to announce the launch of the PC-580R & PC-580RV Ceiling Speakers for Paging, especially for use in Mass Notification Systems. The PC-580R is an 8" in-ceiling speaker which will carry both UL 1480 (UUMW) & UL 2043 certifications, making it suitable for plenum use and in notification systems operating in conjunction with fire & life safety equipment. TOA Adds New Paging Capabilities To 9000M2
TOA is proud to announce the introduction of its Q-RM9012 & Q-SS9012 paging accessories for the 9000M2 Series of Mixer-amps. With these additional accessories, it is now possible to perform multi-zone paging functions without the need for additional outputs or power amplifiers. This greatly simplifies the setup and installation and reduces hardware costs. The 9000M2 v2.0 GUI software may be programmed to trigger multiple outputs or zones via zone button commands from the Q-RM9012 paging mic, which can synchronize to contact closures simultaneously activating the corresponding speaker outputs on the Q-SS9012 speaker selector. This allows single or multiple speaker lines (up to 12) to be activated for a given paging source. Depending on the requirement, single or dual channel powered A-9000M2 units may be used; or a 9000M2 mixer with external amplification. Additional discrete zones may be added using 9000M2 output cards and amplifiers for up to 19 paging zones. These accessories may also be used in stand-alone applications, even without the 9000M2. These new accessories will be shipped with the AD-246 Power included (available as the Q-RM9012PS & Q-SS9012PS) and are in stock now. 9000M2 V2.0 GUI software and firmware are also available now as downloads from the TOA website.
