About the presenter:

As co-founder of BioConstructs Jacques Henri Taylor has spent the past nine years helping people get what they want from their bodies.

He has developed fitness/wellness programs for individual clients as well as for corporations and public entities, such as American Express, the Santa Monica Fire Department, and Town Sports International. Jacques has developed a thriving MAT practice in Los Angeles, CA and travels the country teaching healthcare and fitness professionals about trenchant concepts in biomechanics and joint health.

Jacques continues to study and teach biomechanics at the most respected and informed institutions in the nation and is committed to delivering relevant, effective, and invigorating wellness/fitness services.

With MAT you will be able to:

  • Objectively evaluate and identify biomechanical imbalances in the human body
  • Raise the level of understanding of how biomechanical imbalances lead to repetitive stress and chronic overuse injuries
  • Create an awareness that exercise/ yoga may lead to dysfunction if not properly progressed.
  • Help to validate that an individual yoga practice is truly making positive changes in one's body.
  • Examine how muscle tightness is secondary to muscle weakness.
  • Give tools to identify and eliminate positional weakness that may lead to injury and further compensation.
  • Show how to identify and eliminate positional weakness that may lead to injury or further compensation.
  • Help yoga teachers to become more comfortable with adjusting students in order to evaluate and assess range of motion safely.
