Just the facts..
While the actual number of units that have sold is increasing, the overhang of inventory continues to drag prices downward. Crain's Chicago Business also reported that the Case-Shiller index fell hitting it's lowest level since May, 2000.
"The Chicago-area index is down about 37.5 percent from its peak in September 2006....A combination of the sheer volume of foreclosure suits and the state court system's slow processing of them has created of a logjam of properties moving through the courts."
All indications are that while the trend is in the right direction, we're not out of the woods yet.... |
