Lake Forest Celebrates 150th Anniversary
 Lake Forest was founded on February 21, 1861, and 2011 is the community's 150th anniversary. The Historical Society and the 150th Historical Activities Committee are spearheading projects and planning events to celebrate the heritage. The Sesquicentennial Committee is in the final stages of finalizing the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of the founding of Lake Forest.
