Proposed Fiscal Year 2013 Budget Prepared

Greetings!

The City Manager's Proposed Fiscal Year 2013 Budget has been finished.  City Manager Manuel Longoria, Jr., will formally present the Budget to the City Council on Tuesday, August 7, during the Regular Meeting which begins at 7 p.m.  The Budget document is presented in its entirety on the City of Leon Valley's website.  To view the budget, click here.  The public is cordially invited to attend Tuesday's meeting to hear the Budget Presentation.

Also scheduled for presentation is the Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation Proposed Budget for Fiscal Year 2013.

In other City Council business, the Mayor and City Council will discuss and consider action on a Resolution supporting legislation to permit indefinite renewal of the Street Maintenance Sales and Use Tax for consideration in the 2013 State of Texas Legislative Session.   The bill would allow the City of Leon Valley to leverage funding in order to maintain and reconstruct streets and roads without the additional expense and process involved in seeking re-authorization every four years.
