Greetings!
The next Regular City Council Meeting is Tuesday, July 17, at 7 p.m. The City Council has a special session set earlier to conduct its business in Executive Session. As always, the meetings are open to the public.
For information on the business matters the City Council will consider, we invite you to visit the City's home page on the Internet to view not only the agenda but the actual agenda documentation as well by clicking here. At the City's home page, click on the link to the Mayor & City Council Page. There are links to the City Council Agendas and Agenda Packets.
Amongst other agenda matters, the City Council will consider adopting an ordinance to appoint and re-appoint members and alternates to its many boards, committees, and commissions. Truly, our volunteers are community representatives. Without their input and energy, the Mayor and City Council and the City of Leon Valley could not begin to realize much of the work that is contributed.
The City Council will also receive a presentation by the Leon Valley Historical Society with its architectural collaborators on the Preliminary Design and Renovation Plan for the Historic Huebner-Onion Homestead.
The City Council will also consider action on an ordinance appointing a seventh member and determining a chairperson for the 2012 Bond Program Oversight Committee.
Three City of Leon Valley employees will be recognized for their commitment and service in their respective departments of one-quarter of a century each to the City of Leon Valley, its citizens, businesses, and community stakeholders.
We invite you to Connect with Us... to obtain the most current City of Leon Valley information from the City's website.
Janie Willman
City Secretary
