Greetings!
The City Council and the Leon Valley Economic Development Corporation will meet in a Special Joint Meeting during an early meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. on June 19.
The City of Leon Valley and other jurisdictions within the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AACOG) have completed work on a draft of the regional hazard mitigation plan. A five-day public comment period is underway.
To review the draft plan, visit the AACOG website, click here. Then, email any comments or suggestions to Robert Lee, AFC / EMC at R.Lee@leonvalleytexas.gov. The plan will be available through Tuesday, June 19. All comments received by June 19 will be reviewed and considered. We thank you for your participation as we work to ensure your safety through the development of a regional hazard mitigation plan.
Plan now to attend this year's Independence Day Parade on Wednesday, July 4th at 10 a.m. Please join us after the Parade at the Leon Valley Community Center, 6427 Evers Road, for food, drinks, games, and a ton of fun! This year's parade route returns to Poss Road, traveling East past Raymond Rimkus Park to Evers Road. The parade route then turns South past the Library and into the drive between the Kinman House and the Leon Valley Public Library.
Join us tomorrow at the Grand Opening of Terra Bella Fashion, located at 6814 Huebner Road, near Bandera Bowl and Planet Fitness. The ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 9:45 a.m. followed immediately by the Grand Opening event. Refreshments will be available. Come and enjoy the music between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. If you can't make the Grand Opening, we encourage you to stop and shop Terra Bella for women's fashions, Tuesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
