Greetings!
The May 12, 2012 Election is tomorrow. During the Early Voting period, 551 Leon Valley voters went to the polls to register their preferences. La Elección del 12 de mayo de 2012 es mañana. Durante el período de Votación Temprano, 551 votantes de Leon Valley acudieron a las casillas para registrar sus preferencias.

The Election Day Polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. tomorrow. Election Day Precinct information is on the City's website. Click here for that information.

About the $7,000,000 Bond Election
If passed, Leon Valley's Public Safety and Support Services bond proceeds would be used to:
- Build a new 15, 000 square foot Fire Station with male and female sleeping rooms and locker rooms, and secured, covered parking for public safety and rescue vehicles and equipment
- Renovate 9,922 square feet of existing space for the Police Department, expanding current space and adding new features such as a secured prisoner entry port, dedicated detention for juveniles and dedicated space for victim and prisoner interviews
- Renovate 9,792 square feet of existing space for Support Services, adding office spaces, meeting space and storage
- Provide public facilities that will meet space needs now and for the next 25 - 30 years

Eleccion de Bonos $7,000,000
Si se aprueban, los fondos de los bonos para seguridad y servicios de apoyo de Leon Valley se usaran para;
- Construir una Estacion de Bomberos nueva de 15,000 pies2 con dormitorios para hombres y mujeres, gavetas, estacionamiento cubierto y asegurado para vehiculos y equipo de seguridad publica y rescate.
- Renovar 9,922 pies2 de espacio existente para el Departamento de Policia, extendiendo el espacio actual y agregando nuevas areas como un puerto de entrada seguro para prisioneros, area dedicada para detencion de juveniles y espacios dedicados para entrevistas de victimas y prisioneros.
- Renovar 9,792 pies2 de espacio existente para el Ayuntamiento y el Tribunal Municipal, agregando espacio de oficinas, sala de juntas y almacen.
- Tener edificios publicos que cumplan con las necesidades de espacio actuales y para los proximos 25-30 anos.
